Room 16 - Vuong Hong Sen collection

Vuong Hong Sen (1902 - 1996) was a famous researcher of culture and a collector of antiquities in south Viet Nam. During his life, he was fond of studying and collecting more 800 objects, among them were the most typical blue and white ceramics from 18th - 19th century. He dated some ceramics and gave his experience to anybody who likes collecting antiquities. His work were greatly appreciated. Before passing away, he donated all of his antiquities and books to State with the desire of preservation for his collection.

The exhibition intriduces “Collection of Vuong Hong Sen” including the objects made of different materials of Viet Nam, China, Cambodia, Japan, Thailand and France dated from 10th - 19th century, aiming the value of his collection and his contribution to research, the conservation of national cultural heritage.
